XIST 3.4.2 (Default branch)

Filed under: Software — admin @ 11:21 pm

XIST is an extensible HTML and XML generator. It is also an XML parser with a very simple and Python-esque tree API. Every XML element type corresponds to a Python class, and these Python classes provide a conversion method to transform the XML tree (e.g. into HTML). XIST can be considered ‘object-oriented XSLT’.

PHPulse 3.1.0 (Default branch)

Filed under: Software — admin @ 11:21 pm

Screenshot
PHPulse is a quick development MVC framework for PHP. It is built to remove the redundant minutia such as form processing, table creation, session handling, etc. and leave the developer to concentrate on the actual application. It is also extremely lightweight and fast, with a modular development environment that allows functionality to be added quickly and easily with a built in templating engine.

License: GNU General Public License (GPL)

Changes:
This release adds cohesive filtering and callback getter/setter functions for the action class, so rather than accessing functions via a dependency injected model object, you just use getter(function,array(var1,var2,var3,etc)) to access getters and setter(function,array(var1,var2,var3,etc)) to access setters. Also included are additional logging capabilities for the entire framework, as well as basic fixes and improvements in speed.

MyConnection Server 8.1b (Default branch)

Filed under: Software — admin @ 11:20 pm

Screenshot
MyConnection Server is broadband testing software which measures
connections for bandwidth speeds and connection quality for time
critical applications such as VoIP, Video conferencing, and IPTV. It
helps organizations assess networks for deployment of new/additional
services and identify and resolve last mile customer connectivity
problems with little need for the customer to assist in the resolution
process. A network route testing component details the path of the
connections and where packet loss and latency occur, including discovery
of multiple routes to a destination. Remote Test Agents enable technical
staff to customize and interactively manage the bandwidth testing
process and perform extended quality testing over hours or days to
address and resolve intermittent problems as required. Satellite Servers
establish additional connection testing points at the application edge
to accurately test actual application network paths.

python-ptrace 0.4.2 (Default branch)

python-ptrace is a debugger using ptrace written
in Python. It’s able to control multiple
processes, read/write bytes, perform breakpoint
and step by step execution, use a disassembler,
syscall tracer, and parser, explain why a signal
is raised, dump registers, stack, and memory
mappings, etc.

License: GNU General Public License v2

Changes:
A typographical error was fixed in gdb.py. A
typographical error was fixed in the SignalInfo
class. When a process received a SIGCHLD signal
(because of a fork), the debugger exited because
of this bug. Debugger._wait() returned an abnormal
process exit as a normal event, and the event was
not raised as an exception. PtraceSignal does not
clear preformatted arguments (such as arguments of

Apache AntUnit 1.1 Beta 1 (Default branch)

Filed under: Software — admin @ 11:20 pm

AntUnit is a library of Ant tasks that was
initially developed to write tests for Ant tasks
without resorting to JUnit. It makes it easy to
turn an existing build file that exhibits an error
into an AntUnit test. Tests are written as targets
in a build file using assertion tasks provided by
AntUnit. The antunit task executes targets in a
collection of build files and supports custom
listeners in a manner similar to the junit task’s
formatters.

License: The Apache License 2.0

Changes:
This version fixes a few bugs of AntUnit 1.0 and
adds a few new assertions. The most visible change
is that listeners can now receive the output of
the project under testing and the XML, and
plainlisteners have been adapted to optionally
include this output in their own logs.

Hachoir core 1.2 (Default branch)

Filed under: Software — admin @ 11:20 pm

Screenshot
Hachoir is a Python library used to represent a
binary file as a tree of Python objects. Each
object has a type, a value, an address, etc. The
goal is to be able to know the meaning of each bit
in a file. Hachoir is able to open invalid or
truncated files. It only reads or computes data on
demand to minimize load times. Many field types
are predefined (integer, bit, string, etc.) and
strings with a given character set (such as
ISO-8859-1 or UTF-8) are supported. Addresses and
sizes are stored in bits.

License: GNU General Public License (GPL)

Changes:
Field.getFieldType() was created to describe a
field type and give some useful information. The
TimestampUnix64 field type was created.
GenericString now only guesses the character set
once. If the charset attribute if not set, a guess
is made when it’s requested by the user.
