Multitalk is a presentation program designed for
giving more interactive and engaging talks.
Slides are laid out in a two- dimensional canvas
that you navigate in any direction, in real time,
using the mouse. All of your talks can be merged
into the same space. You can zoom out and create
hyperlinks between slides. Each slide may also
contain nested expandable sections like a folding
text editor. Every slide can have an arbitrary
style to control layout and visual appearance.

Nagstamon is a Nagios status monitor with a UI
that resides in the GNOME systray or on the
Windows desktop. It informs you in realtime about
the status of your Nagios monitored network.

A misplaced status overview popup in GNOME systray mode has been fixed. A flickering status overview popup when dragging the status bar has been fixed.
Manent is an algorithmically strong backup and
archival program. It features efficient backup to
anything that looks like storage. Currently it
supports plain filesystems (”directories”), FTP,
and SFTP. Planned are Amazon S3, optical disks,
and email (SMTP and IMAP). It can work (making
progress towards finishing a backup) over a slow
and unreliable network. It can offer online
access to the contents of the backup. Backed up
storage is completely encrypted. Backup is
incremental, including changed parts of large
files. Moved, renamed, and duplicate files will
not require additional storage. Several computers
can use the same storage for backup, automatically
sharing data. Both very large and very small files
are supported efficiently. Manent does not rely on
timestamps of the remote system to detect changes.

Some container files have been created with uppercase letters in container indices. See the manent homepage for instructions for dealing with it. The block cache was found to be too aggressive, causing excessive storage use in Manent’s database. This version fixes that, but please visit the homepage for more info. There are more fixes to Unicode name handling under Linux (filenames that were not decodable under the current locale caused Manent to panic).
granule is a multi-platform (Linux, Windows,
NetBSD, Nokia770 Internet Tablet, OpenEmbedded GPE
PDAs) flashcards program that implements Leitner
space repetition methodology for expanding your
vocabulary. It features both short-term and
long-term memory training capabilities to improve
memory retention.

Mylene is a command line MPEG audio player. It can
play plain and system embedded MPEG audio streams.
It works for Linux OSS and ALSA emulated OSS and Mac OS X. The player can be used interactively by telling it to establish a UNIX or INET server on which commands can be received. The seek-h262 MPEG decoder is
required for audio and system MPEG decoding.

TrueMusic is a pure Java music player that supports MP3, Ogg Vorbis, Ogg FLAC, Native FLAC, Speex, WAV, AU, AIFF, SND, and MIDI. It will attempt to match the native look and feel. It requires Java 5 or later.

libgxim is an X Input Method (a.k.a. XIM) protocol
library that is implemented by GObject. This
library helps you implement XIM servers or client
applications to communicate through the XIM
protocol without using the Xlib API directly,
particularly if your application uses a
GObject-based main loop.
Slideshow is an application for showing text and images in a loop on monitors and projectors. It is not meant for situations where interactive control is required, but for when the content is continuously looping for a long time. The content is updated through a Web GUI. The application is split into two packages: the backend and frontend. Currently, the frontend is very GNU/Linux specific and will not run on any other platform. It is, however, meant to be as platform independent as possible, as long as it handles OpenGL.

This is a somewhat stable release. It adds support for slide bins (containers) and slide deactivation.
libalinga is a C++ implementation of a
multi-stream codec for the ALingA (Aligned
Linguistic Annotation) format. It makes use of
libogg++. Each ALingA stream holds at least one
stream of annotation data, which is in the LingA
format. It may also interleave the signal
stream(s) against which the LingA streams are
aligned, or it may simply reference such streams.
It also provides metadata about the underlying
manifold for the signals and the annotations. The
metadata is ordered for runtime parsing of the
number and type of signal and LingA codecs to
enable decoding of the multiple logical streams in
one pass.
RubySlippers is a GUI frontend to the RubyGems
package management system. It can view gemspec
files, list installed files, install gems, query
the RubyGems list, build Gems, and view
documentation. This program uses the
RubyWebDialogs GUI, and is built on the rwdtinker
framework, so more applets can be loaded and
unloaded. Context sensitive help is included.

This release has fixes for the gem which command, more work on localization, and a reduced number of menu choices. The gem server scan has been updated and fixed. Version 1.05 bugfixes for applet unloading are included. This version is heavily refactored to load and unload live applets.
LimeSurvey (formerly PHPSurveyor) is a Web
application that interacts with MySQL, MSSQL, or
Postgres to develop surveys, publish surveys, and
collect responses to surveys. Once a survey has
been created, data can be inserted into the survey
either by a “pretty” public screen which presents
each question one at a time, or by a quick and
nasty data entry screen. It includes the capacity
to generate individualized “tokens”, so that
invitations can be issued to participants. It also
has the capacity to set conditions on whether
questions will display (branching), numerous
question types, and a basic statistics function.

Chronicle is a simple tool that will convert a
directory of simple text files into a formatted
and static HTML blog. In short, it compiles text
entries into pretty HTML, complete with support
for tagged entries, and RSS feeds.

This release updates the handling of comments so that when comments upon a particular blog entry span the changing of a month they are sorted correctly.
Lbzip2 is a Pthreads-based parallel bzip2/bunzip2 (compressor/decompressor) filter, passable to GNU tar with the –use-compress-program option. It isn’t restricted to regular files on input, nor output. Successful splitting for decompression isn’t guaranteed, just very likely (failure is detected). Splitting for compression and compression itself occur with fixed 900k block size. On an Athlon-64 X2 6000+, “lbzip2 -d” (originally lbunzip2) was 42% faster (based on wall clock time) than standard bunzip2. Lbzip2 strives to be portable by requiring UNIX 98 APIs only, beside an unmodified libbz2.

Decompression was extracted from the split-work-multiplex skeleton into a separate module. Compression was added. The project has been renamed to lbzip2. The reordering of processed sub-blocks happens entirely in the multiplexer now, changing the time complexity from O(log n) to O(1) inside the critical section among the workers and the muxer. The command line conforms to utility syntax guidelines. Lbzip2 queries the number of online processors if sysconf() supports it. Block serial numbers have fixed 64-bit width. The README file was updated. The development status has been advanced to Beta.
ind allows you to indent output from a
sub-process, which is useful for scripting. It has
been tested with FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Linux,
Solaris, and Mac OS X on x86, AMD-64, Alpha,
SPARC32, SPARC64, and PPC.

PhonoRipper is an easy to use, all-in-one GUI tool
for creating audio CDs from analog sources like
vinyl records. It uses Cdrdao for CD writing and
Normalize for volume normalization. Features
include a fully buffered WAV file recorder with
mixer and VU meter (supporting both ALSA and OSS
drivers), automatic detection of track borders,
and an intuitive drag’n'drop CD writing interface
with CD-text support.

A simple WYSIWYG CD cover editor has been added. CD text data or custom text, as well as user-defined background colors or images, can be put on single- or double-sided “booklets” and jewel case inlays and be sent directly to the printer or stored in a Postscript file.
Cuneiform is a commercial grade optical character
recognition (OCR) system. It was originally
developed and open sourced by Cognitive
technologies, and was originally Windows-only.
This project aims to port Cuneiform to run
natively on Linux.

libogg++java is a Java native interface to
libogg++. It provides C++ and Java wrappers, as
well as Java classes. It also provides control
files to generate them from the libogg++ interface
using SWIG. The major and minor versions of this
JNI will track that of libogg++, but its bugfixes
are independent of libogg++ bugfixes.
libSpiff is a C++ library for reading and writing
XSPF playlists. Both version 0 and 1 are
supported. It is the official reference
implementation for XSPF of the Xiph.Org Foundation.

This release fixes the broken XML Base implementation introduced in libSpiff 0.8.4. Besides general cleanup, it also introduces the base for a new error-handling model. libSpiff is now at a point of feature completion. Please note that this release is neither source nor binary compatible with libSpiff 0.8.4.
The GNU Compiler Collection contains frontends for
C, C++, Objective-C, Fortran, Java, and Ada as
well as libraries for these languages. It is a
full-featured ANSI C compiler with support for K&R
C as well. GCC provides many levels of source code
error checking traditionally provided by other
tools (such as lint), produces debugging
information, and can perform many different
optimizations to the resulting object code.

Several bugs were fixed. Decimal floating point variables are now aligned to their natural boundaries when they are passed on the stack for i386. The “-mcld” command line option was added for backward compatibility on some operating systems.
Bazaar Subversion Plugin is a Bazaar plugin that
adds support for foreign Subversion repositories.
This allows committing changes to Subversion
branches as if they were native Bazaar branches.
HCM is a server version of the widely used HL7
Comm integration tool. It is an simple integration
engine designed for the health care industry. It
supports everything HL7 Comm does, and adds the
ability to manage and monitor multiple interfaces
through an easy Web interface.

This is a bugfix release, primarily focused on problems with the interactive logging (the log files themselves were correct). There were also some cosmetic fixes to the log screens.
gnoMint is a tool for easily creating and managing
certification authorities. It provides fancy
visualization of all the pieces of information
that pertain to a CA, such as x509 certificates,
CSRs, and CRLs. gnoMint is currently capable of
managing a CA that emits certificates that are
able to authenticate people or machines in VPNs
(IPSec or other protocols), secure HTTP
communications with SSL/TLS, authenticate and
cipher HTTP communications through Web-client
certificates, and sign or crypt email messages.

uriparser is a strictly RFC 3986 compliant URI

This release fixes bad cleanup logic in two functions related to URI reference creation and resolution. Depending on your usage of these functions, the result could have been either a crash or a memory leak, so updating is strongly recommended. This release is both source- and binary-compatible.
curl and libcurl is a tool for transferring files
using URL syntax. It supports HTTP, HTTPS, FTP,
FTPS, SCP, SFTP, TFTP, DICT, TELNET, LDAP, and FILE,
as well as HTTP-post, HTTP-put, cookies, FTP
upload, resumed transfers, passwords, port numbers,
SSL certificates, Kerberos, and proxies. It is
powered by libcurl, the client-side URL transfer
library. There are bindings to libcurl for over 30
languages and environments.

Netdude (the NETwork DUmp data Displayer and Editor) is a framework for inspection and manipulation of tcpdump tracefiles. It is separated into a GUI-based frontend and a backend library that performs the actual packet manipulation. Both the front- and backend can be extended using plugins, in order to add support for new protocols and to provide modular code to other developers.

This release adds support for VLAN-tagged packets. Pressing Ctrl-C in the raw hex/ASCII editor now copies the shown data to the clipboard. There are some minor fixes.
libnetdude is the packet manipulation backend of
the Netdude trace file editing framework. It
allows you to perform trace file manipulations at
a much higher level of abstraction than code
written directly for the pcap interface. It also
supports plugins (dynamically loaded libraries)
that can essentially do whatever the programmer
desires. When developers write their packet
manipulation code as libnetdude plugins, this
instantly allows other developers to use their
tools. It provides data types and APIs for the
most common situations when dealing with libpcap
trace files: trace files of arbitrary size,
packets, network protocols, packet iterators, and
packet filters, just to name a few.

Nuttx is a real-time embedded operating system
(RTOS). It has a small footprint that is usable in
micro-controller environments. It is fully
scalable from tiny (8-bit) to moderate embedded
(32-bit) systems. It also aims to be fully
compliant to standards, to be fully real time, and
to be totally open.
